Moldova reports higher wine export to EU in 2012

The export of Moldovan alcoholic beverages increased by 21 per cent in 2012, Agriculture and Food Minister Vasile Bumacov said.

Bumacov said Moldova recorded a rise in the wine export to the EU countries, Russia and China in January-September 2012.

«Moldova exported wine worth 100 million dollars during the first nine months of 2012. It increased by 200 per cent only to China, whereas by 50 per cent to the EU states. Wines were exported to Russia too, and presently, there are negotiations to open a terminal in Bryansk», Bumacov added.
