Three-country contact border cooperation center proposed by Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov in Ankara

The creation of a three-country contact center for police and customs cooperation between Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey was discussed today in a meeting between Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov and his Turkish counterpart Idris Naim Sahin.

It is aimed at stronger border controls and fast exchange of information. Bulgaria has already created joint centers with Greece, Romania, Macedonia and Serbia and the effect of their work has been appreciated by both the regional partners and by European institutions, Minister Tsvetanov said.
