Moldova says IMF approves $77 mln stand-by loan tranche

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved the disbursement of some $77 million (60 million euro) under Moldova's current stand-by funding arrangement with the global lender, the Moldovan government said on September 28.

The disbursement of the loan tranche, equivalent to 50 million special drawing rights (SDR), comes in the wake of the successful completion of the fifth review of Moldova's performance under its 369.6 million SDR three-year funding deal with the IMF approved in January last year, the cabinet said in a statement.
