Egiya-Kapay craftsmen’s synagogue in Eupatoria will celebrate centennial

The festivities will take place October 19 and 20.

The celebrations’ organizers are the City Council Executive Committee, religious Association of Progressive Judaism of Simferopol and Ukraine and Eupatoria religious community of Progressive Judaism, the City Council Executive Committee press service reports.

Eupatoria Deputy Mayor Edward Kugel said, the synagogue was one of the important and interesting objects on the tour route «Little Jerusalem», so the upcoming event was especially important for the city.

The main celebrations to mark the centennial of the synagogue are scheduled for October 19. Holiday service will be conducted at the synagogue on that day. Ceremonial meeting and concert will follow the service. The next day Saturday service will be held at the synagogue, as well as workshops and tours for members of religious communities.
