Academic and school year started in Georgia on September 17

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia reports that academic and school year 2012 -2013 started on September 17 in 2082 public schools all over Georgia.

On the occasion of the start of the new academic year Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Khatia Dekanoidze travels to Kakheti to visit newly opened schools in the villages of Erisimedi of Signagi municipality and Shibliani of Sagarejo municipality .

The 2012-2013 school and academic year will consist of two semesters. Students will have holiday recess in January and for Easter celebration. Students of the 1st and 12th grades will finish to study in May, students of other classes - in the middle of June.
