The Monitoring Group of BlackSeaNews and the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies reports:

on 21/03/2022, at least 3 oil tankers transported about 300,000 tons of Russian blood oil through the Bosphorus and Dardanelles for export.

The breakdown of oil tankers by shipowner’s country of registration:

  • Greece – 2

  • Romania –1

The ports of destination:

  • MT MAR MARSAXLOKK, Malta

  • EG PSD PORT SAID, Egypt

  • TR ALI ALIAGA, Turkey

Reference:

300,000 tons of Russian URALS oil costs about $200 million, which is equivalent to the cost of about 30 Russian Kalibr cruise missiles.
