Agriculture minister: Moldova has no problems with Roshen products

Moldovan Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov has said that the products of Ukraine's Roshen Corporation pose no threat to the health of consumers.

He said this at a press conference in Chisinau on Monday, a Ukrinform reporter in Moldova said.

"Moldovan consumers should know that no hazardous components were found after checks on the products of Ukrainian company Roshen, and we can responsibly state that there are no problems with these products," the minister said.

According to Bumacov, the tests conducted by the National Food Safety Agency showed that there is no reason to exclude Roshen products from the market.

Earlier, Deputy Director of the National Food Safety Agency of Moldova Grigore Porcescu said that "Moldova does not rule out random testing of Roshen products," stressing that "chocolate cannot contain such a substance as benzopyrene."
