Russian Crude Oil Imports to the EU Embargo: Database of November 2024 Violations

The Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies and BlackSeaNews reports on the results of its own monitoring of violations of the embargo on seaborne imports of Russian crude oil into EU countries in November 2024 (see Table 1).

In November 2024, 6 violations of the EU embargo on seaborne imports of Russian crude oil from the Black Sea were recorded.

Two were involved the delivery of crude oil to a transshipment points in the Laconian Gulf off the coast of Greece and Morocco.

Four direct voyages were made to the ports of the EU countries.

Shipowners from Greece (2), Germany (2) and China (2) performed these voyages.

In November 2024, a total of 760.424 tons of Russian crude oil were delivered to the EU in violation of the embargo.
