Moldovan Minisrty of education forbids collection of money for baccalaureate exams

The Moldovan Ministry of Education has forbidden any collection of proceeds for baccalaureate exams.

An order on the matter was signed by acting Minister of Education Maia Sandu. The decree stipulates that all the expenses for the organization of the school-leaving exams will be defrayed by the state budget.

Annually, about 5 million lei are earmarked from the state budget to this end. There are 1.3 thousand schools in Moldova, of which 100 – are baccalaureate examination centers. Yearly, over 20 thousand people are graduating from Moldovan schools and lyceums.
