Real economy sector’s guaranteed minimum wage to be increased

The Moldovan government today approved on April 30, 2013 a draft law providing for a 80-lei-increase in the guaranteed minimum wage in the real economy sector, which will thus reach 1380 lei per month.

Acting Labour, Social Protection and Family Minister Valentina Buliga said the wage in the real economy sector would reach 8.17 lei per hour.

The guaranteed minimum wage in the real economy sector amounted to 1300 lei per month, 7.70 lei per hour, in 2012.

The guaranteed minimum wage in the real economy sector is being annually re-examined by the government, depending on the average annual growth of the consumer price index and the growth rate of the labour productivity at the national level.
