Istanbul hosts Russian Cinema Festival

Istanbul is hosring the Russian Cinema Festival on April 18, starting with Vladimir Menshov’s «Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears». The director described creation of the film and its popularity in the USSR, RIA Novosti reports.

Serkan Uzunay, one of the viewers of the film, expressed astonishment by the film. He expressed amazement with the deepness of people’s relations and the fact that little had changed in Moscow in the past 30 years.

Turkey will also watch such film’s as «Several Days of I.I. Oblomov’s Life», Stanislav Govorukhin’s «We Are from Jazz» and «The Rifleman of the Voroshilov Regiment». The films will have Turkish subtitles.
