Serbia shows interest Romanian Constanta Port

On April 10 representatives of the Novi Sad City (Serbia), including the Vice-Mayor Borko Ilić and Councilor Nemanja Vukčević, were the guests of the Constanta Sea Port Administration.

In the course of their meeting with the Port Administration General Manager Lucian Balut they expressed their interest in development of cooperation at the multi-modular transportation market (river, sea, and combined transportation).

This meeting is a part of the two-day visit of the Serbian delegation to Constanța Port to study the possibility for an increase in the traffic of goods for the Novi Sad Port. It has been organized after the «Day of Constanta Port in Novi Sad», conducted in 2012, and such meetings have been arranged on an annual basis since 2007.

In 2012 the total commodity turnover between these two ports amounted to 6.2 million tons (4 million tons for river transportation and 2.2 million tons – for the sea one), exceeding the 2011 volumes by 111% (3 million tons).
