EC endorses ninth amendment of Rural Development Programme in Bulgaria

The European Commission endorsed the ninth amendment of the Programme for Rural Development, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods informs.

This gives green light to municipalities to use the BGN 200 million for starting off projects under measure 321, namely «Basic services for the population and the economy in rural areas» and measure 322 – «Rebirth and development of settlements».

The letter from Brussels recommends the forthcoming adoption of measure 121 – «Modernization of farms» to guarantee a budget which animal farmers will be able to use when applying for EU standards for quality raw milk and invest in environmental protection in view of the so-called Nitrogen Directive.
