Romania expects 15% growth of rural tourism in 2013

Romanian National Association of Rural, Ecological, and Cultural Tourism has noted the 15% growth of tourists, choosing rural recreation in 2013.

The majority of foreign tourists, choosing rural recreation, come from Hungary, Germany, France, Israel, and Japan.

The list of the most popular regions for rural tourism includes Brasov, Bukovina, Maramureș, and Sibiu. Such regions as North Olteni and Neamt, being a part of the European Rural Tourism Congress, also record a rise in the interest of tourists.
