The EU will offer Moldova over 300 thousand euros to implement a project meant to back young specialists. The Moldovan Confederation of Trade Unions said the project had already started in Ungheni district on 14 March.

The project entitled «Improving the social-economic situation of young people in Moldova by empowering Moldovan youth and Moldovan civil society» would have a two-year implementation period.

The project implies the organisation of various trainings, awareness campaigns as well as the creation of youth networks and the launch of the informational web portal www.muncadecenta.md.

The project would be implemented in four Moldovan districts, including Ungheni, Falesti and Calarasi districts.

Statistics show that out of the officially unemployed Moldovan citizens almost 40 per cent are young people.
