Earthquake hits Turkey’s Van

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 points on Richter scale hit Van in Turkey at 5.21 am at a depth of 6km, the Kandili Observatory of the Bogazici University and the Earthquake Research Institute report.

Van had an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 on October 23, 2011. More earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.1 and 6.1 happened after. Over 600 people died and over 4,000 were injured. 2,262 buildings were destroyed.
