Ecological agriculture development may become a top priority for Romania

Expansion of the ecologically clean agricultural products may become even more important for Romania than the joining of the Schengen visa-free area.

Such opinion has been stated by the European Parliament deputy from Romania, agricultural commission member Daciana Sarbu during her visit to BioFach 2013 exhibition.

Sarbu has noted that at present the intensive work is carried out to develop a number of bills in Romania, providing special areas for cultivation and production of organic foodstuffs.

According to her, the same importance must be attached to the financial support from the side of the European Commission to arrange respective production capacities in Romania for cultivation of ecologically clean products, which will result in the reduction of their prices at the internal market.
