Minibus taxis on strike in Tbilisi

Minibus taxi drivers protesting since January 26 plan new demonstrations at the mayor’s office.

About 3000 people will participate in the protests. Gocha Mikadze, a driver, said that the demonstrators will probably demand the tender results of the Company of Georgian Minibuses used to purchase over 3000 Ford minibuses to be nullified.

The minibus drivers demand better labour conditions and reduction of work hours.
