Bulgaria’s state debt will go down by around EUR 820 million

After the paying off of emissions of global gilt-edged securities with dew payment on January 15, Bulgaria’s state debt will decrease by some EUR 891 million, Deputy Finance Minister Karina Karaivanova.

This makes a nominal value reduction from 6.9 billion to 6.1 billion. There is no planning for this year the country to step out on international finance markets and to invest in security bonds, Karaivanova further informed. The largest payment of gilts is due in 2015.
