Moldova external debt grew by 6.1 % for 9 months of 2012

Total external debt of Moldova amounts to $5.8 billion as on September 2012.

According to the National Bank of Moldova, at that the external national debt and the government-guaranteed debt of the country grew by $92 million during this period – up to $1.6 billion, while the private unsecured external debt of Moldova grew by $241 million – up to $4.1 billion.

External long-term liabilities of the country in January – September 2012 grew by 7.2% - up to $3.6 billion and amounted to 63.1% from the total debt, while short-term external liabilities grew by 4.3% - up to $2.1 billion, amounting to 36.9% from the total debt amount.
