First GAZPROM branded refueling station opened in Romania

The first GAZPROM branded refueling station started working in Romania. It was opened by GAZPROM-NEFT subsidiary NIS (Naftna Indusrija Srbije). The GAZPROM-NEFT press release notes that the station is located in Sibiu city at 300 km distance from Bucharest.

According to Analysis, Consultations and Marketing more than 50 refueling stations will be commissioned at the Romanian fuel market by the end of 2013 in the framework of the project for development of the GAZPROM refueling stations’ chain. The operational management of the GAZPROM refueling stations’ chain at the Balkans is conducted by NIS.

Romania is the second European country, where GAZPROM refueling stations started working. The first station in Serbia was opened on December 19.

Further development of the chain under the new brand is also planned at the territory of Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina. By the end of 2013 the Balkans chain may number nearly 100 refueling stations.
