Turkish GDP grew by 7.7% in 2012

The Turkish GDP increased by 7.7% to 377.58 billion lirs in 2012. The figure totaled 2.6% in January-September 2012, the Turkish Statistical institute reports.

The real GDP growth in Q3 2012 totaled 1.6%, compared with the same period in 2011. The GDP per capita in Q3 totaled 17,800.

Construction had the highest growth rate, totaling 9%, energy had 7.8% and transportation had 6.2%.
The official currency rate on December 11 is 1.8026 TRY/USD.
