Bulgarian scientists to measure ice movement in Antarctica

Making GPS measurements of the movement of the ice sheets in Antarctica will be one of tasks of the 21st annual Bulgarian expedition to the continent.

They will study the effect of global warming on glaciers, professor Hristo Pimpirev has announced. He presented to the Archives State Agency a number of documents, photos and articles, related to the 25 years of Bulgarian presence on the Earth's southernmost continent.
