German group RWE refused to participate in Nabucco gas pipeline project

German energy group RWE has declined to participate in the Nabucco gas pipeline project. Austrian news agency FriedlNews reported about this.

The company will transfer its project stake to Austrian OMV. As a result, OMV will become the largest shareholder in the Nabucco owning 33.3%.

RWE announced in spring that they were considering this option. RWE now has officially confirmed its intention. However, this information has not yet appeared on the company’s website.
