Black Sea water level rose - rest centres in Mykolaiv Oblast flooded

On December 3, a substantial rise of water level in the Black Sea took place as a result of deteriorating weather conditions, heavy precipitation, and strong gusty wind.

This led to partial flooding of non-functioning rest centres located in the coastal zone of the Mykolaiv Oblast Berezanka and Ochakiv districts. In some rest centres the water level in flooded buildings reached 1m.

Ministry of Emergencies rescue teams and off-road machinery were directed to the flooded sites. By now, 14 people were evacuated from the flooded rest centres. There is no threat to the life and health of people.
