Turkish – owned Euroweb wants to invest EUR 12 mln in Romanian IT&C infrastructure

Telecom company Euroweb Romania, part of the Turkish group Turk Telekom, will invest EUR 12 million in infrastructure and in its portfolio of products and services by 2013.

«Despite the difficult economic climate, Euroweb managed to register an organic growth of 5 percent this year,» said Stuart Evers, CEO of Euroweb Romania (in picture).

The company plans to increase its staff by 20 percent by 2013, from a current staff of 85. «The local telecom market in Romania brings plenty of challenges, because of the economic context, but also because of the consumer profile. For example, Romania has the lowest internet tariffs in Europe. However, if we will continue on the 2012 trend, last year we can increase our business by up to 10 percent,» said Stuart Evers.

Euroweb Romania became part of Turk Telekom in 2010. The company posted a turnover of EUR 9 million in 2011. Euroweb has four regional centers, in Bucharest, Timisoara, Iasi, Cluj.
