Bulgaria braces for new EU programming period

We plan to be ready by mid-2013 with the initial version of the operational programmes, as well as with the agreement for partnership that we have to sign with the European Commission for the next programming period, the Bulgarian Minister in charge of EU fund management Tomislav Donchev said.

In his words 2012 saw the execution and payments for 31 percent of all contracts made during the ongoing programming period that account for 95 percent of what has been planned. A great part of the growth of Bulgaria’s GDP for the past year was due to European financing, Minister Donchev said.
