Azerbaijani population to reach 9.5 million

Salim Muslimov, Chairman of the State Social Protection Foundation, said at the parliamentary committee for social policy that the population of Azerbaijan will reach 9.49 million in 2013.

There will be 4.77 million women and 4.7 million men. The population surplus will total 132,000. The average lifespan will total 74.1 years: 77.7 years for women and 71.6 for men.
