Bulgarian archaeologists discovered buildings as old as the pyramids of Egypt

Three- and two-storey buildings of the Egyptian pharaohs’ times have been found by Bulgarian archaeologists near the Petko Karavelovo village of Veliko Tarnovo district. This discovery is quite unique for Europe.

According to the preliminary data, these structures were built 4800 years ago – right at the time of appearance of the first pyramids in Giza.

Three buildings have been already unearthed by now: one three-storey and a couple of two- storey ones.
