Moldovan President goes to New York to attend General Assembly session

On September 24 Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti flew to New York to attend the 67th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He will present to the world forum the Republic of Moldova’s position on the important-most issues on the world agenda, will speak of the challenges the republic is facing, including of the vital need to settle the Transnistrian conflict.

The program of his two-day voyage to New York includes inter alia a meeting with President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.

This will be Timofti’s 4th foreign visit since the beginning of his presidential office in March 2012. The first one was to Brussels, the second one – to Romania, third – to Ukraine.
