«Ukraine highly appreciates its status of the Alliance reliable partner»
Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin has met with Chairman of the NATO Military Committee General Knud Bartels within the NATO military delegation official visit to Ukraine.
«Despite the non-aligned status of Ukraine, our partnership with the Alliance has not lost its importance. We are ready to cooperate with the NATO as far as the Alliance is ready to cooperate with Ukraine», – said Dmytro Salamatin.
Defense Minister reminded that the 15th anniversary of signing of the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership between NATO and Ukraine was observed in July this year.
«Ukraine highly appreciates its status of the Alliance reliable partner. I am sure that we will develop and improve our cooperation in the future», – Dmytro Salamatin said.
Chairman of the NATO Military Committee General Knud Bartels appreciated the Minister’s statement. On behalf of the NATO leadership he thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine for being an active partner of the Alliance and reassured the Ukrainian delegation in further effective cooperation with the Organization.
