Russian Crude Oil Imports to the EU Embargo: Database of June 2025 Violations

The Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies and BlackSeaNews reports on the results of its own monitoring of violations of the embargo on seaborne imports of Russian crude oil into EU countries in June 2025 (see Table 1).

In June 2025, 5 violations of the EU embargo on seaborne imports of Russian crude oil from the Black Sea were recorded.

5 of them were involved the delivery of crude oil to the ports of the EU countries. 

Shipowners from Greece (2), Germany (2) and Turkey (1).

In June 2025, a total of 633.650 tons of Russian crude oil were delivered to the EU in violation of the embargo.
