The Monitoring Group of BlackSeaNews and the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies reports:

on 2503/2022, at least 5 oil tankers transported about 500,000 tons of Russian blood oil through the Bosphorus and Dardanelles for export.

The breakdown of oil tankers by shipowner’s country of registration:

  • Greece – 2

  • Russia – 2

  • Turkey – 1

The ports of destination:

  • IT TRS TRIESTE, Italy

  • IT TRS TRIESTE, Italy

  • KR USN ULSAN, Korea

  • LB SEL SELAATA, Lebanon

  • HR OMI OMISALJ, Croatia

Reference:

500,000 tons of Russian URALS oil costs about $340 million, which is equivalent to the cost of about 50 Russian Kalibr cruise missiles.
