The Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies and BlackSeaNews reports on the results of its own monitoring of violations of the embargo on seaborne imports of Russian crude oil into EU countries in April 2025 (see Table 1).

In April 2025, 5 violations of the EU embargo on seaborne imports of Russian crude oil from the Black Sea were recorded.

All of them were involved the delivery of crude oil to the ports of the EU countries.

Shipowners from Germany (3) and Greece (2).

In April 2025, a total of 654.456 tons of Russian crude oil were delivered to the EU in violation of the embargo.
