The rating is based on the total container turnover, excluding transshipment.

The difference between the places of container carriers in the Bulgarian and Black Sea ratings indicating their different shares of the Black Sea market in general and the Bulgarian in particular.

For example, ZIM took 6th place in Bulgaria and 3rd place in the Black Sea, CSAV still occupies 6th place in the Black Sea, but only 12th in Bulgaria. However, such lines as KLINE, YML, EMC, NYK have much stronger positions in Bulgaria than in the Black Sea as a whole.

Evergreen has shown the highest increase of market share (in %) in Bulgaria (5.4%), whereas the CMA CGM only 1.54% increase and Hapag-Lloyd - 1.21%. While MSC has lost 5.48% of market share, CSAV - 2.13% and ARKAS - 1.08%.
