German tour operators refuse from Romanian Black Sea coast

The German tour operators have taken all trips to Romanian Black Sea coast out of their directories.

German travel company TUI AG, one of Europe's largest travel companies, stated that Romania didn’t fulfil its commitments to modernize recreation areas. All contracted charter flights from Germany to the

Romanian coast have been cancelled, and in the nearest future Romanian seaside will be excluded from the company’s directories, Moldnews informs.

A similar situation took place in 2006 when the survey of the accommodation conditions revealed serious violations of the norms. In 2009, TUI returned the country to the directories, when an agreement on the modernization of the coast was signed with Romanian Ministry of Tourism, but Bucharest didn’t fulfilits obligations.

According to statistics, from 5 to 10% of the tourists on the Romanian coast are foreigners.
