Bulgarian households’ deposits keep going up, credits – down

The deposits of households continue to increase, show latest data from the Central Bank of Bulgaria. By end-March deposits in the NGO sector have been EUR 27.2 billion (65.8% of GDP) with an annual growth rate of 7.7%.

Deposits of households have reached EUR 18 billion (43.7% of GDP) by end March 2013. They increase by 11.6% on the same month of 2012.By end March 2013 credits for the NGO sector have emerged at EUR 27.8 billion (67.2% of GDP). In March 2013 their annual rate of increase was calculated at 2.3%. Credits for households are EUR 9.34 billion (or 22.9% of GDP) by end March 2013. Compared to the same month of the preceding year household credits have gone down by 1.3%.
