In 2013 Russian tourists to reach Romanian resorts via Bulgaria

In the coming summer season Romania expects a considerable rise in the number of Russian vacationers: the 20% growth is already forecast for the May holidays.

However, it is too early to make any forecasts for the summer, first of all due to the vagueness with transportation: it is most likely that the charter program to Constanța, traditionally delivering Russian tourists to Romanian resorts, will not be arranged in 2013. Tour operators will transport tourists to Romania via the Bulgarian Varna, and this fact may result in certain reduction in the tourism flow to Romania.

The Romanian coast expects to get approximately 40 thousand foreign tourists for the May holidays – by 20% more than in 2012. Almost 90% of hotels will be already opened on May 1 at the Mamaia resort.
