Nikolai Mladenov met with EU member ambassadors

I firmly condemn the ugly incident during the MRF conference on January 19, when the now former Leader of the movement Ahmed Dogan was threatened with a gas pistol while delivering his speech.

That was a shock for everyone and such acts would not be tolerated in Bulgaria. This was a statement of Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolai Mladenov while meeting the ambassadors to Sofia of EU member countries. Minister Mladenov voiced the hope that the incident would not affect the good traditional ethnic relations in Bulgaria. I call all political leaders to refrain from public comments that could stir tension, Foreign Minister Mladenov further pointed out.
