Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece create common coordination centre

Experts from Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey will work together in a common coordination centre, located at major border check-point «Kapitan Andreevo».

The news was announced in Burgas by Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Dimitar Georgiev, who took part in a meeting of the Black Sea countries’ border services.

The Minister said that the future centre would be financed by Bulgarian government.

Participants of the Burgas forum noted that the main challenges that the Black Sea countries were facing were illegal immigration, smuggling of goods and drugs trafficking. In 2013, information exchange between the Black Sea countries will intensify because of the Sochi 2014 Olympics.
