Israeli PM wants Europe to help restore ties with Turkey

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested European diplomats to help improve ties with Turkey, 1news.az reports.

The request was made during a meeting with European ambassadors. He said that Israeli-Turkish ties will benefit Europe.

Netanyahu warned that Israel may start military intervention in Syria to prevent rebels from obtaining chemical weapons. He noted that chances of the chemical weapons being stolen increased after the attack that killed four assistants of President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus in July 2012.

The prime minister added that the events in the Middle East encourage Iran to attack Israel and wants new international sanctions to be passed to persuade Iran to quit the nuclear program.
