Days of Moldovan Culture inaugurated in Russian Federation

A Moldovan delegation, headed by Prime Minister Vlad Filat, participated in the official inauguration of Days of Moldovan Culture in the Russian Federation on 10 September, the government's communication and public relations department has reported.

Days of Moldovan Culture are held in Moscow and St. Petersburg on 10-15 September. Last night, the National Academic Ensemble of Popular Dances «Joc» performed at the opening of the event.  

Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinskiy said that he was very happy to be together with all those who wish to get acquainted with Moldovan traditions. 

Moldovan Culture Minister Boris Focsa said that this week, Moscow and Sankt Petersburg residents will enjoy Moldovan folk songs and dances based on old Moldovan traditions and on those of other nations, living in our beautiful country. The public will meet opera singer Mihail Munteanu, People's Artist of the Republic of Moldova and the USSR, and many other singers of classical and instrumental music, who will perform their masterpieces, reflecting the light of the Moldovan people's soul, for the Russian public.
