Moldovan cabinet earmarks over 200,000 lei to mitigate 2010 year floods

The Moldovan government August 14 ruled to earmark 212,000 lei to mitigate the consequences of the 2010 year summer floods.

Under the government decision, the money was allocated from the reserve fund for providing a one-off material assistance to 13 flood-hit families from the Macaresti village, western Ungheni district.

At the same time, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca showed discontent with the fact that the Agriculture and Food Ministry so far had failed to give the final touches to a project on giving aid to people who suffered in the wake of this summer floods. Leanca asked that the problem should be settled till the next week.

Also August 14, the government decided to earmark from 212,000 lei from the reserve fund to make medals, boxes for medals, diplomas, paper cases and flowers for the laureates of the National Prize for 2013.
