Mélange leaves Odessa oblast under Joint OSCE-Ukraine Project

About 750 tons of mélange left Odessa oblast under the Joint OSCE-Ukraine Project.

According to Lt. Col. Oleksandr Yatluk, Commander of Military Unit, this dangerous liquid in 15 special railway tanks was dispatched to Russian Federation for further disposal.

“For the time being, one third of mélange have left the depot following all the safety measures and requirements”, – stressed Lt. Col. Oleksandr Yatluk.

This event was attended and controlled by the representatives of the OSCE, the Disposal Department of the MoD of Ukraine and the enterprise where this melange will be disposed.

Reference. This long-term project was launched in 2009 and is financed by Denmark, Spain, Germany, Norway, Poland, Hungary, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and USA.
