Two Turkish naval vessels - the military transport ro-ro ferry TCG ISKENDERUN (A1600), manufactured in Turkey, and the former German Donau (A 69), currently the training and staff vessel, TCG SOKULLU MEHMET PASA (A577) – came to Odessa on 2013-05-20.

TCG ISKENDERUN (A1600) was the first to enter the port waters, followed by TCG SOKULLU MEHMET PASA (A577). The vessels entered the Cabotage Harbor and moored aboard at the berth 18 – or, at the marine slang, “turned broadside on each other”. The steering was made by tugboats “Sphinx” and “Centaur”.
