Water at Romanian resorts is the worst in Europe

According to the latest research, conducted in the EU countries, the quality of water at the European resorts is much below the standards.

The research notes that the worst situation with water is in Romania. The local black list contains 2476 locations, where water does not comply with the EU requirements. There are 1148 locations like this in Spain, 901 – in Bulgaria, 631 – in Hungary, and 443 – in Italy.

The list of unfavorable locations also includes several metropolitan cities: Brussels, Bucharest, Sophia, Madrid, Budapest, and Rome,  AllTravels.com.ua informs.

According to the EU legislation, all countries with water quality standards’ non-conformities will have to pay a penalty amounting up to 1 billion EURO a year.
