Downhill skiing resort will be opened near Odessa

«Odessa’s Bukovel» is to be opened in mid-February, Mignews reports. It was all empty only a month ago, and now the first visitors are already running along a new snow-covered track.

The resort is located 70 km from Odessa, between villages Victorovka and Stepanovka. As was explained earlier by the place’s owner, local farmer Vladimir Bondarets, the resort will include five slopes, a ropeway, and man-made snow will be delivered from 12 snow guns.

This year, visitors will only be able to do skiing and a place for snowboarding will be arranged in next year. There won’t be traditional sleds, either, visitors will be offered an alternative - tubing (inflatable sled).
