BSEC supports Ukraine's initiative on development of cruise tourism in Black Sea waters

Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) commissioned a panel on tourism cooperation jointly with the transport panel to study issues of launch of a project on the development of cruise tourism in the BSEC region, says web portal of Ukrainian Government.

“BSEC has supported an initiative of Ukraine concerning the development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea waters. At a sitting of the working group on tourism cooperation we agreed to advance the Black Sea region as one of the leading tourist directions in the world. We will concentrate separately on advancing of cultural routes in the Black Sea region. Ukraine will suggest Odessa, Yalta and Sevastopol,” Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul announced.

Tourist ministers of the BSEC member-states have agreed to jointly advance the existing and new tourist products. One of the ways of realization of the agreement will be elaboration of a joint marketing strategy, in particular participation in international tourist events.

Targeting development of tourism in the region the BSEC states intend to support elaboration and realization of a series of joint initiatives and mutual investment projects. Peculiar meaning will be attributed to the projects and programs in sea, winter sports, health, SPA, recreation and business travel and advancement of culture tourism in the Black Sea region.

The Ministers agreed to intensify cooperation in tourism, particularly by means of simplifying visa procedures in the states-members of the BSEC and improvement of a level of quality of tourist services in the Black Sea region. So, the participants agreed to organize special training programs both for students and for representatives of tourist agencies.

In the prospect the BSEC member-states there will be created web-portals in order to organize training of students and graduates in hotel business.
