Turkey builds scout drone
The Turkish National Intelligence Organization ordered the Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBİTAK) to design a new drone comparable with the Global Hawk model of the US.
The drone will have high range of operation and will carry about 500kg of cargo. It will have equipment to take photos and audio records.
ANKA, the first Turkish drone, was designed by about 180 engineers. They were working on the drone since 2004.
