Chisinau International Airport leased

The Chisinau International Airport has been leased. Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Valeriu Lazar unveiled information on the matter at a September 4 cabinet meeting.

The government September 4 approved a report on the holding of an open tender for the selection of the concessionaire of the assets of the state enterprise Chisinau International Airport. The Avia Invest Association of Legal Entities is the company that won the tender. “The airport was leased. The report’s approval means the carrying out of the last procedure in order to regard this process completed. One more 60-day transition phase follows, in order to start the implementation,” Lazar said after the government meeting.

The concessionaire was selected at a closed tender. Although seven companies were invited to the tender, only one of them presented its participation bids.

The bid of the concessionaire sets a 49-year period of lease, a one-per cent royalty of the income got by the leased enterprise and making investments worth 244.2 million euros.

The Avia Invest Association of Legal Entities is composed of the Ltd company UK KOMAKS in association with the stock company Khabarovsk Airport, stock company Kolomensky Zavod and the Ltd company Avia Invest.
